Black Mondays: Worst Decisions of the Supreme Court
The Fifth Edition of Black Mondays: Worst Decisions of the Supreme Court is now available. Originally published in 1987, Justice Thurgood Marshall wrote the foreword. The author, Joel D. Joseph, used examples from the book in his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, to oppose the nomination of Robert Bork to the Supreme Court.
Since that time the Supreme Court has become an activist conservative court, overruling Roe v. Wade, installing George W. Bush as President of the United States and allowing corporations to take away the rights of citizens to go to court. The court has also recently gutted the Voting Rights Act by claiming. that the country has moved beyond racial discrimination and ended affirmation action.
